Delivery Questions

  • Where do we Deliver?
    Mainland UK - We can take all orders for Mainland UK through our on-line shop. Isle of Man - We can now offer a delivery only service to the Isle of Man at no extra charge. If you live on the Isle of Man and would like to purchase our furniture please contact us through our website or through our office on +44 (0) 121 236 6637 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Ireland & N. Ireland - We can now offer a delivery only service to Ireland and Northern Ireland.   • Do you deliver outside the UK?
    We deal with special shipping requirements on the individual application. Please contact us directly for more information.
  • I have ordered several items will they arrive at the same time?
    Normally we will wait for all of your items to be ready for shipping prior to arranging delivery with you.
  • Can I change my delivery address?
    Should you need to change your delivery address please contact our office immediately through our website or by phone on 0121 236 6637.
  • What is included as part of the delivery service?
    As part of our commitment to offer the best possible service our appointed delivery team will deliver and place our furniture items for you if you require. Please note: this service does not include for any fixed furniture and excludes mirrors. Please see our checkout pages for the latest on delivery options.
  • I am unsure that I’ll be able fit the product(s) into my home/office?
    First of all take any measurements of the access route, - Can access be gained easily for your items to be delivered? - Are the doors wide enough? - Are there any awkward stairs, lifts or passageways? - Will the furniture fit in the room? If there is anything which you are concerned or unsure about please contact one of our team and they will help advise you.
  • How do we charge for delivery?
    Our delivery service is worked out based on your postcode. As you progress through the website shop and enter your delivery details the shopping basket will indicate any delivery costs before completing your order on-line. For more information or to obtain a delivery quote please contact us directly.
  • Where is my order?
    Order delivery times vary dependant on the Brand and type of furniture you have ordered. If you have ordered a standard size product through the website please check the product page and then additional information field to find out the approx delivery period. If you have ordered more than one product from us we will normally wait until all products are ready for shipping. Our chosen delivery company will contact you approximately 1 week before delivery to schedule the service. Please note: Italian furniture items can have longer lead times in the summer months (July/August) due to their traditional summer factory close down. While we will always try to work with them to avoid any delays lead times during this period can be extended by up-to 2 weeks. Please note that due to factory shutdown over the Christmas / New Year period our lead times can be increased by aprox 2 weeks depending on item ordered. Should you require more accurate delivery dates please contact our office and one of the team will be on hand to help.
  • What if I am not in when you deliver?
    Our appointed delivery company will arrange a convenient time for delivery with you before the item is dispatched. Please note: If you do not make this agreed appointment you may be asked to pay towards the delivery costs. If you think you might not be able to make the delivery or have missed the delivery please contact us as soon as possible or call our team on +44 (0) 121 236 6637.

Glass Furniture Care

  • How do I care for my glass furniture?
    Caring for your glass furniture is easy. If you need to clean the item you only need to dust off the surfaces using a soft cloth. Where stubborn marks appear, use a soft cloth with a mixture of mild soap or liquid detergent, followed by rinsing with a further clean damp cloth before thoroughly drying the item. Please do not use abrasive cleaning materials or contaminated cloths. Use mats to protect the glass from hard materials that may cause scratches to the surface. Should you want to move your furniture then always lift it from the floor. Do not attempt to slide as this may cause undue stress to the product.
  • Can I move my furniture?
    Yes. For furniture items such as coffee tables always lift it from the floor and avoid sliding your furniture into position as this may cause undue stress to the product or feet. For items such as dining tables, desks etc; the top would normally be removed first, then, move the base in top the new position and replace the top. If you are unsure please contact our team and we will advise you of the correct procedure for any particular design.

Ordering On-line

  • I have not received a ‘Order Acknowledgement’ email?
    If you have ordered through our website and have not received an email 'Order acknowledgement' but think you have completed the process successfully. Please contact our office immediately (Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm)and one of our team will be on hand to help. Before contacting our office we recommend checking you spam/junk email folders to see if the email has gone there by mistake.
  • How do I know you have received my order?
    When you order though our website and are successful our website will automatically email an 'Order acknowledgement' to you showing details of your order. Our office will also write to you by email (Monday to Friday) with an 'Order Confirmation' confirming that we have received your order and payment and that we are now in the process of fulfilling your requirements.
  • Can I place and order over the phone?
    Yes of course, please just call us on 0121 236 6637 and let us know the details of the product you are interested in and one of our team will guide you through and answer any questions you might have.
  • I forgot my password. What do I do now?
    Don't worry. If you click the 'login' link at the top of the page and then click 'Lost your password?' and follow the on-screen instructions. We will email you a new password. If you would like to change your password to something more memorable, simply login and click 'My Account' at the top of the page (this will show instead of the 'Login' link only when you are logged into the site). Then click 'Change Password' link on your account page and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • I’m new to this website – how do I place an order?
    Firstly, thank you for your interest in our website and products.All you need to do is progress through the website, find the perfect piece of glass furniture for you. Select your Options and add then when promoted Click 'Add to Shopping Bag' (you are not committed to purchasing at this stage). Follow the simple on screen instructions from here entering your details as requested. Remember you can always order over the phone on 0121 236 6637  (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) our team will be on hand to help out.
  • I’m a returning customer how do I order?
    Feel free to browse our website and once you have found the perfect furniture item, configure and add to 'shopping bag' as before. As you are a previous customer you can simply click 'login' at the top of the page and our website will automatically fill in your address and contact details (based on your previous order).


  • Do we Zero rate VAT for Overseas?

  • Can I obtain an invoice for my order?
    Yes you will be automatically sent an invoice by email within a few days of your purchase confirming what you have ordered and any other relevant details.
  • What payment methods do we accept?
    We accept most major credit card and debit card payments on-line. You can also pay via cheque or by bank transfer please contact our office for further instructions or select the option during the checkout and our website will send you further instructions via email.
  • Can I just pay a deposit?

Product questions

  • Can Glass/Toughened Glass be Scratched?
    As with most materials glass can be scratch if miss-used or miss-treated, however glass is a strong material and under normal use our glass furniture should last a lifetime. In fact if you compare other high gloss or transparent materials to glass, glass will greatly out perform all in terms of strength and resilience; making glass an ideal material for furniture.
  • Is glass Strong?
    Yes, very strong. All of our 'glassdomain' branded glass furniture are produced using toughened glass(unless otherwise stated), sometimes known as 'tempered', to comply with BS EN 12600. BS EN 12600 has now superseded BS 6206 as a European wide performance standard for impact safety glass. Many of Fiam and Sovet products which use flat glass are also toughened to the same regulations. Please note that due to the nature of curved/formed glass and the way in which it is produced it is not normally possible to toughened this glass. For this reason only sells the very best glass furniture brands produced by highly specialist designers and manufacturers. These products have been highly tested to ensure they are safe for your home or office.
  • What’s the difference between Standard Clear and Extra Clear Glass?
    We generally use two type of glass to make our furniture - Standard Clear and Extra Clear Glass; both have their own unique appeal and colour character. Extra clear glass is becoming more and more popular in glass furniture these days and is given as an alternative option on many of our products for sale through our website and showroom. The structural performance of Standard and Extra Clear Glass is exactly the same the only difference is the colour/tint.   low iron glass                                   Standard clear Glass has a slight green tint to the body of the glass and a very dark green edge detail (most of the products you see on our website are photographed with this glass option).   Extra Clear Glass has very little tint to the body of the glass appearing almost completely transparent - the glass edge has a very slight crystal blue/green tint.   Please note: that on larger and thicker glasses  the tints can become very slightly more prominent  
  • Can I have my own colour?
    Yes we do offer a bespoke colour service on the 'glassdomain brand' range of products. We normally work with RAL or Pantone colour references. For more information and to discuss with our team please contact us directly.
  • Do you send out samples?
    Due to the nature of our products we don't keep samples to be sent out as standard. Samples can be seen in our showroom or obtained from us at a cost. Please contact us directly for more information.
  • What is a ‘Made to Order’ Product?
    A 'Made to order' product is made specifically for you, we are therefore unable to offer refunds or exchanges once the order has been placed. This includes all made-to-order items as well as orders that have been put into production as per the customer’s individual specifications – eg. a specific finish or colour. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but rest assured, your item will be expertly crafted from the finest materials just for you. For help and Advice please contact one of our team.
  • Where are glassdomain products made?
    Our 'glassdomain' and 'Icon-glass' branded products are designed and manufactured right here in the UK. This ensures we have full control over production of our own items ensuring you the customer receive the only the very best. FIAM, Glas Italia and SOVET products are produced in Italy by the most respected glass production houses in the world - their products have been created by some of the best known designers and the quality of their product matches with our own very high standards.
  • Can I choose my own size?
    Yes! we do offer a bespoke glass furniture on a wide range of our range of products. When shopping on-line please be sure use the 'bespoke filter' button on the left hand menu of the shop - this will help identify which items are available in bespoke sizes. If you can't find what you are looking for in our why not challenge our designers and contact us with your ideas. Our designers are on hand to help guide you through the process.


  • Can we purchase from the Showroom?
    Yes you can! If you are looking to visit or make a purchase at our showroom we recommend making an appointment first. Please contact a member of our team to make sure we are here to welcome you.
  • Do you have a Showroom?
    Yes we do! We are based in the heart of England within the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. Our showroom is over 3000sq.ft with a selection of the products we sell on show.
  • Do you have every item in your Showroom?
    No sadly not, as we offer a large range of products and finishes it is impossible for us to stock every item. Please contact us before visiting if you would like to check our current showroom display items.

    At Glassdomain we take security very seriously. This is why we have invested in the latest transaction technology by Sage Pay to ensure your details are always kept safe.

    Every time you enter an area of the site that has or requires sensitive information such as your credit card details, an icon will appear either at the bottom of your browser window that looks like a padlock. Alternatively in newer web browser windows this padlock will appear at the top of the window in the URL area and/or the URL window will turn green - this is an indication that the site is secure.

    Sage Pay is a leading company in facilitating secure payment procedures on-line. Sage Pay technology complies with the highest level of card data security and are PCI DSS Level 1 compliant.

    All transaction information is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholders information is ever passed unencrypted You can be completely assured that nothing you pass to Sage Pay’s servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

    Sage Pay’s systems are scanned at regular intervals by Trustwave which are an independent Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) for the payment card brands.

    Sage pay is also audited annually under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance. Sage pay is also an active member of the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.
