PORADA - Everything ‘s born from the love of the wood. The solid wood, worked with the craftsmanship of those who know how to turn a log into a piece of artwork. Porada has its origin from this passion. It was established in 1968 by Luigi Allievi with the aim of expanding the production of chairs, started in 1948. Porada is a luxury Italian furniture brand that prides itself on being deeply attuned to the history, craftmanship and future of plush wood furniture. The Porada collection marries modern technological processes with artisanal influences creating a luxury range of classic contemporary pieces and desires to make long lasting art out of the natural world had led to collaborations with renowned designers including Stefano Bigi, Tarcisio Colzani, Maconato & Zappa and Gina Corollo. The main strength of Porada is also, and most important, something else. Something that has nothing to do with the quality of the materials or cutting-edge machinery. It’s the human factor. They’re people who for years have become part of this family, who treat products as they would do with something of their own, putting all their care and passion in their daily work.
TARCISIO COLZANI - A self-taught carpenter and designer, developed his expertise in the field after leaving the Brera Art School in 1967. Beginning his professional career in the technical office of a furniture company, he gained extensive knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques. His skills and knowledge as a furniture designer have resulted in Colzani working independently for numerous leading furniture companies including Besana, Confalonieri and Seven, as well as his long-term relationship with Porada.
