As with all Glassdomain customers , the starting point was to consider exactly what the customer wanted to achieve, then consider the practical applications and finally the surroundings into which the products would sit.
The client wanted the products to look as light as possible to ensure they did not distract from the featured antiques that would sit proudly on display. There was also a need for some storage and a desk that would blend in with the other furnishings.
Having given careful consideration to the clients requirements Glassdomain proposed a number of products they thought most appropriate.
One of these was a bespoke sideboard that would offer storage space at a lower level and display above – the outer carcass was to be manufactured from 12mm toughened low iron glass with a full width shelf set below the glass top. Below the shelf a bespoke white timber storage unit with push release white glass clad doors. The effect was stunning and client immediately ordered a host of other products from shelving units display cases and a Rialto desk with a white pedestal.
The effect was exactly what the client wanted and Glassdomain has since worked closely with this client on other projects.
